Town Hall on Seniors’ Health Care Strategy

Thursday October 16th, 7:00pm
South East Edmonton Seniors Association

town hallPresented in conjunction with the Canadian Medical Association.

Join Linda & family physician Dr. Noel Grisdale, from the CMA’s Political Action Committee, for a conversation about the future of health care for Canada’s seniors.

This spring the CMA held a series of presentations on Parliament Hill with MPs and Senators. They came to discuss a range of issues, including the health concerns connected to a rapidly aging population. Currently 14% of Canadians are over age 65, but over the next 20 years that percentage will rise to almost 25%.

CMA’s country-wide surveys show that only 23% of Canadians feel the federal government is ready to meet Canada's future health care needs.

The CMA offered to partner with MPs interested in getting feedback from their constituents of all ages. Please join Linda Duncan on Thursday, October 16 with your concerns and ideas. Whether you are a current senior or a future one, this is a vital discussion about the future of public health care.
