Meet Your MP this Summer!

I had a wonderful time visiting with people from the Forest Heights/Terrace Heights communities at my most recent Meet Your MP Coffee and Dessert Night. As always, I appreciated hearing about your issues of concern. We had a lively discussion about the direction this current government is taking on so many issues from environmental leadership and transparent governing, to our economic future.

In the light of all the recent news about the government’s attempts to cut back on Veterans’ Affairs, it was especially enlightening to hear from Carrie MacNeill, one of Canada’s treasured veterans who gave twelve years of service to the Canadian Military. Carrie (pictured above) spoke to us all about her experiences with Veterans’ Affairs, making the point that services and funding are as much required by modern day veterans as ever.

I would like to extend an invitation to all of you to attend my End-of-Summer barbecue. This will be our final Meet Your MP event for this summer, and is at the Parkallen Community Hall.
